BH Airport enhances passenger experience with QR Code providing tourist tips

Partnership with Gyde allows passengers to test a solution with tips and attractions for various destinations served by the Minas Gerais terminal

Starting this June, those embarking and disembarking at BH Airport can use a new free service to learn about attractions at their destination through the Gyde platform. At various points in the terminal’s boarding and disembarking areas, passengers will find QR Codes that direct them to tourist tips for different national and international destinations: just scan the QR Code and browse the content.

The service is offered through a partnership with Gyde, which saw the Minas Gerais terminal as the ideal environment to launch and test the new technology. Through the use of artificial intelligence, travelers can choose the destination they will visit and find information about tourist spots, shows, artistic attractions, restaurants, among others. The solution also offers exclusive discount coupons, including in BH Airport stores.

The Operations and Security Manager of BH Airport, Robson Freitas, highlights that the partnership demonstrates the airport’s commitment to innovations focused on the customer experience. “We are always looking for solutions to offer the best journey to the passenger. In this sense, BH Airport positions itself as a testing ground for the development of new technologies that involve customer experience and terminal efficiency. The partnership with the Gyde platform will add information for both leisure and corporate passengers seeking entertainment in their spare time. Additionally, the solution helps promote the different destinations served by the airport, including Belo Horizonte,” he says.

Robson recalls that offering the best experience within the terminal is one of BH Airport’s missions, being the first airport recognized for its commitment to customer satisfaction through the Airport Customer Experience Accreditation program in 2023. In the same year, BH Airport stood out by achieving the highest level of excellence in service provision among concessioned airports, according to an annual measurement by the National Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC).

The founder of Gyde, Adrian Elkuch, also emphasizes the potential of the new solution. “In a scenario of information overload, Gyde offers travelers an easy way to access local events and promotions at their destination. This innovative tool enriches the passenger experience by creating an exclusive channel between them, the airports, and their concessionaires,” he says.
