Chairperson of the Board of Riga Airport has been Elected to the Board of ACI Europe

Laila Odiņa, Chairperson of the Board of RIX Riga Airport, was elected as a member of the Board of Airports Council International (ACI Europe) at the General Assembly of ACI Europe held in Istanbul on Wednesday, 3 July.

“I would like to express my gratitude to all the representatives of European airports who took part in the vote and to the General Assembly for the confidence shown in supporting my candidacy. With nearly 30 years of experience in aviation, I am ready to advance innovative ideas and projects that will add value to ACI Europe’s mission, especially on issues related to the sustainability goals and achievements of the aviation industry and their communication to the wider public and stakeholders,” says Laila Odiņa.

She emphasizes that ACI Europe is an invaluable platform for important discussions and decision-making. “I am committed to be actively involved in these processes and to work with other members to promote positive changes, representing the important and rapidly developing region of Eastern Europe,” said the Chairperson of the Board of RIX Riga Airport.

ACI Europe is an international airport organisation representing more than 500 airports in 55 European countries. Its members provide more than 90 % of commercial air traffic in Europe. ACI Europe aims to represent the collective interests of European airports before European Union institutions and with other regions of the world, and to promote professional excellence in the management and operation of airports. The Board of ACI Europe is made up of the top managers of 24 airports.
