New opening of Alda Merini Classic Lounge, the first Vip Lounge of Terminal 2 at Malpensa airport

After the restyling of the Leonardo Exclusive Lounge at Linate Airport and the reopening of the renovated Pergolesi Classic Lounge at Malpensa Terminal 1, now it is the time for Terminal 2 to shine, with the opening of the Alda Merini Classic Lounge.

Alda Merini Classic Lounge is the only lounge located in Terminal 2, in Schengen Boarding area, near passport control filters, and it represents an absolute novelty for Malpensa Airport. The lounge covers about 340 square meters, and it is divided into five dedicated areas:

• Welcome Point
• Food & Beverage Area
• Co-working Area
• Garden Area
• Lounge Area

The Garden Area is the core of the lounge. Enriched with suspended preserved plants hanging from the ceiling, it features an ultra-green glimpse, which is a contemporary reminder of the ‘Bosco Verticale’, the whole adorned with lanterns by Kundalini.

The lounge can host about 64 people, with its armchairs, benches, and stools by “La Cividina”.

The modern and functional design of the Alda Merini Classic Lounge is intended to offer a relaxing and comfortable atmosphere, perfect to work or simply rest before flying. Urban and smart industrial themes, have inspired its creator, the architect Marco Colonnelli.

Additionally, the walls feature large ‘backlit windows’, some of which depict views of the city of Milan.

The lounge food & beverage offering has been designed to meet the needs of the modern passenger, offering “Grab & Go healthy” dishes. The “Fresh” assortment includes salads and fruit salads, while the “Healthy” assortment offers grains like spelt, quinoa, couscous, guacamole, and basmati rice.

This new space, like all VIP Lounges at Milan Airports, offers maximum comfort and relaxation, with a thoroughly detailed design to ensure a unique and unforgettable experience for travellers.
