Spreading the word
Moventor is partnering with SWIFT Europe, the premier conference and expo for the airport community to gather and learn about innovation in airside operations, to spread the word of efficient and safe runway reporting. Mr. Antti Puronto from Moventor will present our experiences gained from almost 100 airports, who we partner with the runway reporting solutions. Mr. Puronto is a former captain (Airbus 320) and performance engineer for airlines, who can bind the aircraft performance to the Global Reporting Format (GRF). Runway reporting is serving the operating pilots and understanding the needs is essential for efficient operations. At the same time, we need to focus on making the reporting work as effortless as possible.
The presentation will be part of Winter Resilience Group meeting during the SWIFT conference. The UK Airports Winter Resilience Group has been established for over a decade and is attended by senior winter operations representatives invited from all the UK airports, providing a vital forum to exchange ideas and experiences. Our presentation will include the following topics:
- ICAO´s GRF is indicating the term “know your runway” – what does this mean in practice?
- Triggers for a new Runway Condition Report (RCR) and how to airports have automatized those triggers. What feedback we can get without entering the runway?
- That will be followed by the best practices for runway reporting.
- What happens when RCR is published and how we loop back to the triggers making the reporting process continuous loop to increase safety and efficiency.
The goal is to spread the word of best practices for runway reporting and point out few essential points which are often overlooked.
